PromoCell´s HLA- typed cells

One of PromoCell’s many service offers to support customers in doing ground-breaking research is PromoCell´s HLA- typed cells!

HLA typing is a genetic test through which the unique pattern of genes encoding human leukocyte antigen (HLA) surface proteins on a person’s cells is identified. The human immune system uses HLAs to differentiate self from non-self and normal vs. non-normal. In a clinical approach, this information is used e.g., to match donors and recipients for organ transplants or perform successful blood transfusions or stem cell transplantations. A person’s individual HLA type can also be used in diagnostics for autoimmune diseases, to identify differences between cancer vs. normal cells, develop (cancer) drugs and vaccines or to determine the genetics of a disease.

At PromoCell, the HLA information of each individual donor (not available for pooled donors) is readily at hand, which saves the customers valuable time and resources. By using PromoCell’s HLA typing service, you can select your suitable donors for your research from our pre-screened HLA data base. Thus, you can be sure that the ordered cells meet your requirements. After ordering the HLA-typed cells together with the HLA-typing certificate, you will receive a written confirmation with a 4-digit high resolution of the donors HLA type – and the work can begin!

Are you working on cytotoxicity testing for drug discovery, drug & vaccines development cancer therapy, cardiotoxic effects, stem- or organ transplantation, immunology or immuno-oncology? Then PromoCell’s HLA-typed cells might be what you are looking for.
